My solo trip to Bangkok and Koh Chang
My first solo travel was back in 2024 going to Bangkok and Koh Chang.
As this was my first solo trip I choose for a bit of convenience by booking a trip on Journaway. There concept is you get tickets, transfers to hotel and you can book excursions directly and when it's multi-city the transfer from hotel to hotel is organized as well.
Being in a city like Bangkok can be overwhelming at first but I found myself adapting to this fairly quickly. After a doing a evening Bike tour and jungle tour also visited the floating market nearby including the Mae klong Railway market.

There I met a few German tourist who also booking at the same agency and where on the same trip only offset by 2 days.

During on of the bike trips (in Bangkok)
Half way during the holiday it was time to move to elephant Island Koh Chang. On the route towards this Island a visit to Sanctuary of Truth was on the program. It was very impressive to see the wood carvings and the story behind it.

My visit to Koh Chang resulted in making a friend who joined me a year later on a trip to Indonesia. We rented a scooter and in a few days time we saw everything on the Island but my advice is only to rent it when you are a skilled driver. As it's mountainous terrain with steep and sharp corners in some areas. (official you need a license to drive)
Below a few impression photos of Koh Chang

Depending on the season the waterfall could be like this or "a little bit less"

Anyone thinking about solo travel, I would say that Thailand is a great place to start.
