    Find your way home

Some updates are about adding things. This one's about making the place feel more like home — and giving you a smarter way to find where you're going next.

    A warmer hello

The first thing you see when you land on 12TravelBuddy has changed. "Where travelers connect" is now the headline that greets you — no hedging, no "here's how it works" preamble, just a straightforward invitation. The page flows better too: trip and story highlights now sit together instead of being scattered across separate sections, so you get a real feel for the community the moment you arrive.

It's a small thing if you're already a member. But it's often the difference between a visitor bouncing and a visitor signing up — and that matters for all of us.

See only where your heart's set

If you've been building out your bucketlist, there's now a much faster way to act on it. Head to /trips and flip on "Show bucketlist trips" — the list narrows to just the trips heading somewhere you've already dreamed about, and the map lights up in blue so you can spot those countries at a glance.

No more scrolling past a dozen trips to Southeast Asia when what you're really after is that one trip to Iceland you've had bookmarked for months.

More room to tell it right

Writing up a travel story sometimes needs more than a couple of paragraphs — especially if you're covering a multi-country trip or want to properly set the scene. We've doubled the room you have to work with, from 1,500 characters to 3,000, so your stories don't have to be cut short just as they're getting good.

    Something's brewing

We've been quietly working on something for those of you who'd rather have TravelBuddy in your pocket than in a browser tab. It's not ready to share yet — but if you've ever wished you could check messages or browse trips without opening your laptop, keep an eye out. More soon.

Go set your bucketlist filter loose on /trips and see where it takes you.
